Sponsorship Opportunity: Mama Cadeau & Josephine

Each month, we highlight two employees who have not yet been fully sponsored. When one of our employees receives full sponsorship, it means a generous donor or group of donors has agreed to make monthly donations in her honor. A sponsorship can be in any amount and it takes $150 per month to fully sponsor one woman. You can read more about sponsorship levels by clicking here. While the levels are set amounts, you may make a monthly donation of any amount and we will combine yours with others to create a full sponsorship for one woman.

When the needs of an employee are covered by a donor, it frees up funds used by the organization for other needs of the ministry.

We are excited to introduce you to this month’s featured employees.

Please welcome Mama Manzi and Dancile!

Mama Manzi

I would like to be able to make repairs to my home. I hope my children continue their education.
— Mama Manzi

Mama Manzi is a Genocide survivor but she lost her father during the conflict. She dropped out of high school to enter into a forced marriage with a soldier. Mama Manzi took many small jobs in an attempt to earn an income, but none were successful. After 12 years of marriage Mama Manzi's husband died and she fell into depression and loneliness. She says she feels comfortable working at Handspun Hope because many of the ladies working there have experienced similar loss. Like many of the ladies, Mama Manzi looks forward to building her savings account.

Mama Manzi needs $15/month to be fully sponsored

DANCILE

When I have enough food to feed my father and my two children, I am happy. I want to replace the roof on my home.
— Dancile

Dancile was born into a family of ten children, but she lost multiple siblings when the family tried to return to Rwanda from Congo in 1994. Life in Rwanda was difficult and Dancile was forced to drop out of school and take a job as a house keeper. Dancile is widowed and caring for two children. She believes working for Handspun Hope will allow her to care for her family and make much needed repairs to her home.

Dancile is currently unsponsored

When you choose to support a woman - through a full or partial sponsorship - you are directly impacting her life and that of her family. And, if you are offering a partial sponsorship, we want you to know that your donation will be joined with that of others to create a full sponsorship.

Thank you for supporting our ladies - we look forward to introducing you to two more wonderful ladies next month!
