The Women of Handspun Hope
209 widowed or otherwise formerly marginalized women are part of the Handspun Hope family.
Each woman is respected and welcomed as a sister with a unique healing and transformation journey before her. Many of our ladies are caring for four to ten children, all of whom are directly impacted by their mother’s job.
Through meaningful work at Handspun Hope, 626 Rwandans are directly impacted with education, family healthcare, nutrition, housing and spiritual nourishment.
72% of women working for Handspun Hope are the sole financial providers for their household.
Each woman has her own story.
The women of Handspun Hope all have unique pasts, struggles, hopes and dreams — just like all of us. Learn their names, faces and stories.

To walk with the women on their journies of transformation, consider joining The Circle. It’s our community of partners in hope who are committed to bringing about sustainable, holistic change through a pledged monthly gift. $175 monthly is all it takes to employ one woman for a month.
