Hope Artisan Collective: 2021 Easter Gift Guide
We are anxiously awaiting Easter Sunday and the opportunity to celebrate the significance of Jesus’ life after death and the promise his resurrection represents.

the promise Pillow
Francine (Handspun Hope’s expert on all things hook rug and felting) knocked this project out of the park and We. Are. Obsessed.
Made from Handspun Hope yarn and complete with handmade pom poms, the Promise Pillow is the perfect reminder of the Lord’s promise to each of us. Throw it on a couch or in a kid’s room and it’s sure to add the perfect pop of color to any space!
Quantities of the Promise Pillow are limited but we will continue to take orders. Due to the handmade nature of this product, please allow 6-8 weeks for creation and delivery.
kinigi Felted Succulent
Perfect for those with a not-so-green thumb (it’s ok, we feel your pain) or those who do, our new Kinigi Felted Succulent gives us allll the smiles. “Planted” in a handmade mahogany pot, this little guy looks great on a desk, shelf, or anywhere in between!
BASKETS
Rethink the traditional “easter basket” and use one that’s artisan-made, unique, multi-purpose and cuter than cute!
With all different shapes, sizes and colors to choose from, you’re sure to find the perfect basket for the kiddos’ presents AND the perfect treat for yourself :-)
OSTRICH EGGSHELL JEWELRY
Gift her a timeless piece of Ostrich Eggshell Jewelry. With each disc on every piece handcrafted from ostrich shells and LOTS of new styles added to the shop, it’s sure to be a conversation starter and the perfect addition to her wardrobe!
Your purchase of this jewelry directly supports artisans working in Namibia. You can read more about the amazing artisans making the jewelry by clicking here.
more than sparrows tea towels
Another egg-cellent decor (or gift!) item are the More Than Sparrows Tea Towels made in Rwanda! Made of muslin, each tool is carefully hand-embroidered and appliquéd to create a beautiful, unique piece for your home!
We have also learned that the More Than Sparrows organization has recently closed it’s doors. We are deeply saddened by this news but continue to pray for their employees and their new employment endeavors. That being said, the towels currently listed in our shop are the last we will carry so when they’re gone, they’re gone for good.
DIANI PRECIOUS STONE NECKLACES
Handcrafted in Kenya, each Diani Necklace boasts a beautiful cross design with precious stones like tiger eye, freshwater pearls and malachite. It’s a piece they’re sure to wear now and pass down for generations to come!
Esther Angora bunny
A cozy companion for the little one that could also make cute Easter (and Valentine’s!) decor for your home! Made from our luxurious angora/merino blend, Esther Angora Bunny is perfect for those you love most.
hand smocked dresses
We may be a bit biased but we think these hand smocked dresses are the PERFECT Easter outfit for the little ladies! Carefully smocked and embroidered by hand, each dress is made with love in Madagascar. Wear it for Easter… then during summer… and add some layers as temperatures fall!
men’s leather goods
Stock his Easter basket with one of our Ethiopian leather goods! With bookmarks, wallets and key fobs we’ve got every guy on your list covered with a classic piece that simply gets better with age.
Hop your way over to the website to see the Easter collection and more!
And while we love highlighting the beautiful goods made by our talented artisan friends, we recognize that the true meaning of this holiday is not presents or candy or eggs, but the promise that was made through Jesus’ resurrection. So whether you’re worshipping in a church building or at home, by yourself or with others, we pray that this Easter is filled with joy and you feel the power that this day holds for each and every one of us.
P.S. Last year our former Director of Marketing, the talented Amy Brinkerhoff, wrote an incredible blog post called Shadow and Light: The Promise of Easter. She discussed the correlation between Easter, COVID-19 and the International Day of Reflection on the Genocide in Rwanda that takes place on April 7th. It is a phenomenal and insightful piece; we encourage you to take the time to read it!
