Product Favorite: Ethiopian Bath Sheets from Sabahar
Friends,
As the weather continues to warm, we are dreaming of long, sunny lounge sessions by a pool, lake or beach. Whether you’re sunning on a sandy shore or drying off in your own bathroom, we are not kidding when we tell you…
You will LOVE these bath sheets!
They are favorite among the Handspun Hope staff for many reasons. They are SUPER absorbent, made from hand-spun Ethiopian cotton and woven on traditional floor looms. Each towel is intricately designed and unique.
Want to know what we use these beauties for? Anything! Everything! Seriously, though…here’s a short list:
Dry off in a snap after bath/shower (and if you have lots of hair, these towels are AMAZING at soaking excess moisture out of wet hair!)
Use them in place of beach towels - sand shakes of in a snap and they dry in flash
Take them to a cold theatre or restaurant - they make a beautiful, lightweight wrap
Throw them over a table as a tablecloth or tri-fold and lay down the center for table runner
What we love most about this product are the people behind it. The artisans at Sabahar use traditional weaving techniques to create modern, fresh textiles. Based in Ethiopia’s capital city, Addis Ababa, this cooperative is driven by three core values: sustainability, innovation and caring for one another.
